I've been making things for as long as I can remember. Drawing, painting, crocheting little figures out of yarn. I learned to sew when I was nine at the Goed Gevoel fair in Ghent, and honestly, I never really stopped after that.
Growing up, I spent hours turning thread into scarves and hats. I just loved the idea that you could start with almost nothing and end up with something you could actually wear. That feeling still hasn't gone away.
Right now I'm in my final year of Fashion Technology at HoGent, with a focus on Fashion Strategy. That means I've had courses in marketing, supply chain management, human resources, commercial skills, and applied finance. It gave me a much broader view of the industry. I don't just think about how something looks anymore, but also about how to actually bring it to market.
What I care most about is making things with intention. I like combining creativity with a real understanding of how the fashion world works, and I'm always looking for projects where those two sides come together.
